Nidhe Israel Museum 

The museum traces Jewish history in Barbados dating back to the arrival of the earliest Jews in 1628 and highlights their contribution to Barbadian society.

As you explore the museum you’ll learn how Barbados was a refuge for Jews fleeing persecution, their important role in the Barbados sugar industry, and the challenges they faced on the island.

The museum building itself is quite magnificent having been originally constructed around 1700.
