Sensitivity and Sign Language Training Workshop

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 and Friday October 4, 2013.

 

Under the “Fully Accessible Barbados” (FAB) programme the Ministry of Tourism has partnered with the Barbados Council for the Disabled to facilitate a two-day Sensitivity and Sign Language Workshop.

In addition to training and sensitising the workers in the tourism industry on how to meet the needs of the disabled visitors’ community, the workshop also seeks to educate persons of basic sign language skills that would allow them to interact and communicate effectively with the hearing impaired.

This workshop is intended for Managers and Supervisors of all tourism entities.
